Here is a collection of the work I've done throughout my high school years in my film course. This isn't everything, as over the years some of my stuff has been lost to technology.

Due to scheduling conflicts, and my normal team of filmmakers now being located in separate states, I have not had the opportunity to work with film recently. My goal is to one day pick it back up, once I can afford my own equipment, and I find another group of talented

and passionate individuals.

Short Films

Wrong Number (2014)

A young man is sitting at home, playing video games, when suddenly he discovers a strange phone number and calls it. Following a strange voice mail message, a series of unfortunate events unfold.

This is the first film that I produced that had 100% dedication put into it, and that the first that wasn't part of a test project. Granted, it's nothing special, but as the first video I ever produced seriously, I think it's alright for a kid.

I was fourteen, okay?

The Pitch (2015)

Stuck in the middle of a film class, Tyler must quickly come up with an idea for a brilliant film on the spot.

This was created for a project that required us to do everything in one take, and to not have any sort of on-screen dialogue. Dubbed the "monologue" project, I helped create this with a group of friends.

Dadcula (2016)

Dating isn't easy when your father is an ancient and archaic vampire, who isn't quite with the times.

This is a film that  I created with a group of good friends, as the first project for my Film III class. No direct requirements.

This film won "Best Male Performance" at the Gasparilla International Film Festival. It was also nominated for "Best Student Film" at the Sunscreen Film Festival, as well as at Dixie Hollins' AEA Gala 2017.

Slice of Life (2017)

Matthew thought he had ordered a pizza and that everything was normal, until the nephew of the local mob boss shows up with a kilo of cocaine, demanding payment.

This was created for a project that required us to shoot a scene longer than three minutes in one take, making use of camera movement.

Miscellaneous

Payday: The Heist - Show Introduction (2016)

This was created in my Special Effects class, where the goal of the project was to get used to some tools in Adobe After Effects. This is a title/opening credits sequence that I created for the fictional "Payday: The Heist" television show. Payday 2 is a video game that make use of live-action trailers to advertise it's content, which is where I drew footage from. I do not own any of the footage used in this video. This was created solely for educational purposes, and falls under Fair Use. All footage comes from various trailers and promotional material for the video game Payday 2, as well as the Payday 2 Web Series.

Song: Razormind by Simon Viklund.

Voice: Pete Gold, the voice of the character Hoxton.

Payday 2 and all of it's material belong to Overkill Software and Starbreeze Studios.

Brodies: The Web Series Animated Logo

I created this to use in the intro and outro credits of the Brodies web series.

Created using Adobe After Effects.

The Phobos - Synthset (Animated Album Cover)

The animated variant of the Synthset album artwork. The static effect at the beginning and end are used to make this video loopable.

Created using Adobe After Effects.

The song used is "Into Your Heart" by Trevor Something.

I do not own the rights to the song, and I used it because I believe it accompanies the visuals nicely. This project is for purely educational purposes, and falls under fair use.

Brodies: The Web Series (On Hiatus)

Me and my best friends have decided to create a Web Series, known as Brodies. The plot involves a group of teenage boys, who live out their lives on the quest to have a good time. The newest edition to the Brodies crew is Matthew, the nerdy next-door neighbour. Together, they participate in a series of wacky antics in order to thwart Spencer, the Anti-Brodie.

This is a passion project. This is not meant to be taken as seriously as my other short films. The quality of these videos is lower than my personal standards, mainly due to the fact the team that I work with (my best friends) is not necessarily as skilled as I am. We are doing this as a fun and lighthearted side-project.

This series also contains vulgarity, as well as humour that is aimed at likeminded people of our age group (18-22), who share in our sense of humour. Many jokes and terms used in the episodes may not make sense to a broad general audience. This series is also a satire/parody of the popular "dude-bro" subculture. For instance, we often accentuate our voices, and use a lot of 80s/90s slang terms. Think "rad 90s surfer teen." Many of the jokes we make do not reflect our actual ways of thinking, nor our actual personalities, and are merely exaggerated for the sake of comedy.

Pilot (2017)

This is the Pilot for the series, that explains how Matthew became a Brodie. This is not a part of the main, upcoming series, and is of course, just a Pilot. This does not reflect the quality of the final product, and is a proof-of-concept.

This was originally created as part of the 48 Hour Film Competition at Dixie Hollins High School, where it won "Best Film." Some elements were added as requirements for said film competition, such as the use of the song "I Believe I Can Fly."

Following the release of this, we received a large amount of praise and support. This inspired us to make this an ongoing series.

Prom Special (2017)

A special mini-episode that we created, in order to help my friend Chris ask a girl to prom. We really did create this episode solely for that purpose. The girl, of course, said yes.

We internally refer to this episode as "Season Zero, Episode 1," because this is not a part of the main Brodies web series. This was a special episode, created in less than 48 hours. Due to time constraints, this episode looks and sounds worse than the actual series will.

This was created as a literal "prom-posal," for our friend and team member Chris. We created this episode for the sole purpose of giving Chris a unique way to ask his crush to our high school prom.

Episode 1: Pour Some Sugar On Me (2017)

This is the first official episode of the Brodies Web Series.

While enjoying an episode of Thot Patrol, one of the Brodies favourite shows, the Brodies see a commercial for the raddest new energy drink, Liquid Blast! Knowing they have to get their hands on some, the gang set out to the store, to find the latest liquid craze.
